R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Larry Fields has long dedicated himself to the |
|
|
citizens and community of Graham; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Fields served as Graham city manager from 1980 |
|
|
through 2014; demonstrating exceptional leadership over the course |
|
|
of his 35-year tenure, he played an instrumental role in the |
|
|
construction of a water treatment facility and city library; |
|
|
moreover, he helped coordinate renovations and upgrades to the |
|
|
wastewater plant, Graham Memorial Auditorium, and Young County |
|
|
Arena; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Following his retirement in 2014, Mr. Fields twice |
|
|
served as interim city manager, first in March and April 2015 and |
|
|
then again from June through October 2022; today, he remains |
|
|
civically engaged, and he continues to give back to his fellow |
|
|
citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A committed champion of his community, Larry Fields |
|
|
may reflect with pride on his many efforts in its behalf and on the |
|
|
knowledge that his contributions will benefit area Texans for years |
|
|
to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
|
hereby commend Larry Fields for his many years of dedicated service |
|
|
to the Graham community and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Fields as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
Senate. |
