SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Lee Clay on the occasion of his 77th birthday on March
  10, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary Texas citizen and a treasured member
  of his community, Lee Clay was born in 1946 and now resides on his
  ranch in Morgan Mill; and
         WHEREAS, A retired certified public accountant, Lee is an
  active member of his community and has devoted his time and
  energy to serving many organizations in Erath County and the
  surrounding area; a devout Christian who practices his faith in
  his daily life, Lee welcomes various guests to his ranch,
  including missionaries, community organizations, and service
  groups; he has hosted Christ Chapel Bible Church Pure Adventure
  retreats, the Freedom Shield Foundation, which provides
  emergency housing and resources for trafficking victims, and
  Iron Centurion, an organization whose mission is to prepare
  Christian men to be supportive leaders who will help to
  strengthen families, churches, and communities; and
         WHEREAS, Lee is a beloved resident of the Morgan Mill area,
  and his generous spirit and commitment to helping others are a
  shining example and a source of inspiration to those around him;
  noted for his wise counsel and strong character and for the joy he
  takes in living each day to the fullest, his birthday is indeed a
  fitting occasion for his friends and family to celebrate and to
  express their affection and appreciation; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Lee Clay on his 77th birthday
  and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
