SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Robstown High School girls' powerlifting team,
  which recently won the Class 4A small-school championship title;
  and
         WHEREAS, The Robstown Lady Pickers were victorious in
  their appearance at the 2023 Texas High School Women's
  Powerlifting Association meet in Frisco; these young athletes
  have demonstrated great talent and perseverance throughout the
  school year, resulting in four first-place performances at the
  state championship contest; and
         WHEREAS, Under the inspiring leadership and expertise of
  the Robstown High School powerlifting coaches and with the
  assistance of managers and trainers, the Lady Pickers have
  developed exceptional teamwork and discipline; team members
  Jozannah Rodriguez, Olivia Morales, Leaya Alaniz, and Janessa
  Vela captured first-place finishes while Amelynne Olguin and
  Jamie Casas took home silver medals; and
         WHEREAS, Robstown High School and the City of Robstown are
  proud of the Lady Pickers for their hard work, their impressive
  skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, hereby commend the players, coaches, and staff of
  the Robstown High School girls' powerlifting team on their
  successful season and congratulate them on winning the 2023 Texas
  High School Women's Powerlifting Association Class 4A
  small-school championship title; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
