R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The AG Youth of Texas Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ |
|
|
Cook-Off is taking place in San Antonio on May 5 and 6, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one |
|
|
of the organization's annual state championship cook-offs, this |
|
|
much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas |
|
|
and beyond; these highly skilled pitmasters put their culinary |
|
|
abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in |
|
|
several different categories; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The event's grand champion will receive an |
|
|
invitation to the American Royal World Series of Barbecue contest |
|
|
as well as a chance to compete at the Jack Daniel's Championship |
|
|
Invitational Barbecue competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ Cook-Off serves as a |
|
|
fundraiser for AG Youth of Texas, a nonprofit organization that |
|
|
supports local youth in their livestock and agricultural mechanics |
|
|
projects; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|
|
Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ Cook-Off is sure to offer good food and |
|
|
good times to everyone in attendance; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
|
hereby commemorate the AG Youth of Texas Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ |
|
|
Cook-Off and extend to the organizers, contestants, and attendees |
|
|
sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for AG Youth of Texas as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas Senate. |
