R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their swift and decisive actions, three |
|
Alvin Independent School District employees played a critical role |
|
in rescuing individuals from the wreckage of a traffic collision on |
|
February 17, 2022; and |
|
WHEREAS, Early that morning, Alvin ISD bus driver Tanya Moore |
|
and her two passengers, bus monitors Dustin Carrillo and Jesse |
|
Neace, drove up to the scene of a major accident on Highway 6; |
|
within seconds of their arrival, multiple vehicles involved in the |
|
pileup collision had burst into flames; Ms. Moore immediately |
|
called for emergency help, while Mr. Carrillo and Mr. Neace left |
|
the bus and sprinted toward the pileup; the Alvin ISD employees |
|
pulled the victims from the wreckage within 90 seconds, before any |
|
professional first responders had arrived; and |
|
WHEREAS, In recognition of the courage and heroism they |
|
displayed that day, Ms. Moore, Mr. Carrillo, and Mr. Neace were |
|
honored by Alvin ISD in an official ceremony; and |
|
WHEREAS, Tanya Moore, Dustin Carrillo, and Jesse Neace |
|
bravely put themselves in harm's way to save the lives of others, |
|
and in so doing, they have distinguished themselves as exemplary |
|
members of the Alvin Independent School District and the community |
|
at large; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
hereby commend Tanya Moore, Dustin Carrillo, and Jesse Neace for |
|
their lifesaving actions on February 17, 2022, and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Moore, Mr. Carrillo, and Mr. Neace as an |
|
expression of high regard by the Texas Senate. |
