SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 607
         WHEREAS, Jordan Crum of Girl Scout Troop No. 7495 in White
  Oak has attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, and this
  accomplishment truly merits recognition; and
 
         WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Crum successfully
  met a series of requirements emphasizing community service,
  personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership
  skills; she also completed a Gold Award project, which involved
  organizing a health fair at White Oak High School that offered
  interactive activities and informative resources to more than
  400 attendees; and
 
         WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging
  young women to explore career opportunities and to become more
  socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its
  participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged
  citizens and leaders; and
 
         WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Crum has
  demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest
  ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with pride
  on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate Jordan Crum on her receipt of
  the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Crum as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
