R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jordan Crum of Girl Scout Troop No. 7495 in White |
|
|
Oak has attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, and this accomplishment |
|
|
truly merits recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Crum successfully met |
|
|
a series of requirements emphasizing community service, personal |
|
|
and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership skills; she |
|
|
also completed a Gold Award project, which involved organizing a |
|
|
health fair at White Oak High School that offered interactive |
|
|
activities and informative resources to more than 400 attendees; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging |
|
|
young women to explore career opportunities and to become more |
|
|
socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its |
|
|
participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged |
|
|
citizens and leaders; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Crum has |
|
|
demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |
|
|
ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with pride on |
|
|
a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
|
hereby congratulate Jordan Crum on her receipt of the Girl Scout |
|
|
Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Crum as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
Senate. |
