R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, For 38 years, Patti Sparkman of Mineola has |
|
distinguished herself through her dedicated service as an |
|
accounting clerk at Morton Salt Company; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Grand Saline, Mrs. Sparkman earned an |
|
associate's degree from Tyler Junior College in 1978; her father, |
|
Edgar Earl Rodgers, was employed at Morton Salt Company for 43 |
|
years, and in October 1984, she followed in his footsteps when she |
|
joined the company; she began her career as an accounting clerk, and |
|
over the course of her tenure, she has overseen payroll and other |
|
services and has helped manage personnel changes; in addition, she |
|
has gone above and beyond to help her colleagues navigate software |
|
and complete tasks; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Sparkman enjoys the love |
|
and support of her husband, Bobby, and she takes great pride in |
|
their son, Keith, and granddaughter, Eloise; sustained by her deep |
|
faith, she is an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she |
|
has served as a teacher and clerk for many years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through her hard work, skill, and professionalism, |
|
Patti Sparkman has greatly benefited Morton Salt Company, and she |
|
is indeed deserving of special recognition for her contributions; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|
hereby honor Patti Sparkman for her 38 years of service to Morton |
|
Salt Company and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Sparkman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas Senate. |
