SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 627
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Saad Nadeem celebrated a significant milestone in |
|
|
his life in May 2023, when he graduated from the University of |
|
|
Houston; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating impressive commitment to his |
|
|
studies, Mr. Nadeem graduated with a triple major in health, |
|
|
human nutrition and foods, and exercise science and a triple |
|
|
minor in biology, business administration, and management and |
|
|
leadership; furthermore, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average |
|
|
while managing his challenging course load, and he was one of |
|
|
eight students from the College of Education recognized as |
|
|
"banner bearers" at the commencement ceremony for their high |
|
|
GPAs; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Among his many other accolades, Mr. Nadeem has |
|
|
been honored with the university's Dean's Award, Legacy Award, |
|
|
and Global Citizens Credential; he is also a recipient of the |
|
|
President's Volunteer Service Award gold medallion; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Nadeem was born in Pakistan, and he |
|
|
immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 5; |
|
|
he grew up in Clear Lake and earned two associate's degrees at San |
|
|
Jacinto College while in high school; a first-generation college |
|
|
graduate, he has been accepted to a Texas medical school and |
|
|
plans to become a doctor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young man, and it is a pleasure to join his family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby congratulate Saad Nadeem on his graduation |
|
|
from the University of Houston and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Nadeem as an expression of high regard from the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
