SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the school nutrition professionals of Edinburg |
|
|
Consolidated Independent School District on the occasion of |
|
|
School Lunch Hero Day on May 5, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The provision of nutritious meals for students is |
|
|
an essential part of a student's school day; the staff members of |
|
|
the school meals and nutrition department are committed to |
|
|
providing healthful, nutritious, and appetizing meals to the |
|
|
children of Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, School Lunch Hero Day offers Edinburg's teachers, |
|
|
students, and parents the opportunity to honor and thank the |
|
|
outstanding staffs that plan, manage, supply, and prepare a |
|
|
variety of meals during breakfast and lunch hours to nourish |
|
|
students at all grade levels on every school day; these meals |
|
|
strengthen and sustain students through the day and are critical |
|
|
to their learning and excelling in the classroom and in their |
|
|
recreational activities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The leaders and staff of Edinburg Consolidated |
|
|
Independent School District express their deep appreciation for |
|
|
the nutrition professionals, managers, and staffs that dedicate |
|
|
their time and energy to planning and preparing school meals to |
|
|
Edinburg students; these valued employees are truly deserving of |
|
|
recognition for their good work on behalf of the district's |
|
|
children; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby commend the staff of the school meals and |
|
|
nutrition department of Edinburg Consolidated Independent School |
|
|
District on their many contributions to Edinburg's |
|
|
schoolchildren and extend to the department's staff best wishes |
|
|
on the occasion of School Lunch Hero Day; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
