HB1007 by Turner (Relating to prohibiting weapons in certain facilities or residences providing services to individuals with an intellectual disability or a developmental disability.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add intermediate care facilities, state supported living centers, and certain group homes or other residential facilities to the list of premises on which weapons are prohibited and make such conduct punishable as a Class A misdemeanor. It is assumed that any fiscal impact and any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.

Local Government Impact

It is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
