No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
The bill would allow for discretionary rather than mandatory license revocation or refusal, for certain infractions. If those applicants or license holders were not denied or revoked then they would be able to biennially renew their licenses over the next five years. This would result in an insignificant positive revenue impact to the state.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
