HB1500 by Holland (Relating to the continuation and functions of the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Office of Public Utility Counsel, and the functions of the independent organization certified for the ERCOT power region.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Office Public Utility Counsel, and the Sunset Advisory Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2023.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
