IN RE:
HB2266 by Leach (Relating to judicial review of certain local laws applicable to state license holders.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would allow certain state license holders to bring an action in district court against municipalities that impose regulations on the occupation or business activity of the license holder that are more stringent than the associated requirements under state law.
Local Government Impact
The bill could have a fiscal impact on municipalities that regulate certain state license holders to the extent that municipalities are open to lawsuits challenging the regulations and to the extent that injunctions against the regulations prohibit the collection of associated fees and fines.
