IN RE:
HB2962 by Thimesch (Relating to creating the criminal offense of trespass on or near a school or day-care center.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would create a Class A misdemeanor offense for a person who enters or remains on or near a school or day-care center property, poses a substantial risk of harm to any person or behaves in a manner that is inappropriate for a school or day-care center setting, and received a request to depart by an administrator or security personnel officer employed by the school or day-care center and failed to depart.
It is assumed that any fiscal impact and any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.
Local Government Impact
It is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
