Honorable James B. Frank, Chair, House Committee on Human Services
FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3199 by Noble (Relating to requiring certain information before being employed by a child-care facility.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require an applicant for a position with a child-care facility to submit, using a form adopted by the department, a pre-employment affidavit disclosing whether the applicant has ever been charged with, adjudicated for or convicted of having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.
It is assumed that any costs to the Department of Family and Protective Services and the Health and Human Services Commission could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
