HB3220 by Garcia (Relating to an assessment on the use of surplus government property to provide housing to homeless veterans.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would direct the Texas Coordinating Council for Veterans Services to establish and oversee a workgroup to assess the feasibility of using surplus government property to provide housing to homeless veterans. The report on the results shall be submitted no later than November 1, 2024.

It is assumed that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
