No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Transportation Code, Section 501.147, to require a notice of motor vehicle transfer provided by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) to include a place for the seller to state the telephone number of the seller and the purchaser. 

Based on the information provided by TxDMV, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the department's existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
