FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3522 by González, Mary (Relating to the authority of the Texas Water Development Board to provide financial assistance from the economically distressed areas account that is not required to be repaid.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Based on information provided by TWDB, the Bond Review Board, and the Comptroller of Public Accounts, it is assumed that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. It is also assumed that interest and repayment revenue from EDAP loans could decrease, however, the reduction that could be realized is not anticipated to be significant.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. However, the bill could have a positive fiscal impact on political subdivisions that receive EDAP grants.
