No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to implement a program for landowners with property adjacent to the state highway system to allow the planting or replacement of existing vegetation in the right-of-way affecting their property.

Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the department's existing resources.
