IN RE:	HB4316 by Goldman (relating to regulation of residential service contract providers, sellers, and administrators.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require all holders of licenses issued by the Texas Real Estate Commission to obtain a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) service contract provider license. The renewal fees are based on a tiered schedule. This estimate assumes the bill would have an insignificant revenue increase to the state.

Based on the analysis of the Office of the Attorney General, the Real Estate Commission, and the Department of License and Regulation, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
