FROM:

IN RE:
HB4782 by Smith (Relating to electioneering conducted near a polling place.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would create a Class C misdemeanor offense for the act of conducting exit polling during a voting period and within 100 feet of an outside door through which a voter may enter a building in which a polling place is located. It is assumed that any fiscal impact and any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.
Local Government Impact
It is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
