The fiscal implications of the bill cannot be determined because the number of cases that would be realized under the provisions of the bill is unknown.

The bill would allow allows parents and guardians to private right of actions in instances where school districts or open enrollment charter schools violate certain student or parent rights.

Based on information provided by the Texas Education Agency, it is assumed that costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, the fiscal impact to the state court system cannot be determined because the number of cases that would be realized under the provisions of the bill is unknown.

The fiscal impact to units of local government cannot be determined because the number of cases and the subsequent impact to local courts is unknown.
