SB189 by Miles (Relating to the creation of a criminal offense concerning the failure of certain persons to report abuse, neglect, or exploitation in boarding home facilities.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create a Class A misdemeanor offense for certain persons failing to report abuse, neglect, or exploitation in a boarding home facility or failing to report abuse, neglect, or omission of care in certain group homes. The bill would amend the required contents of certain reports made to the Health and Human Services Commission related to boarding home facilities. It is assumed that any fiscal impact and any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.

Local Government Impact

It is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government, including those associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement, would not be significant.
