FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
SB351 by Perry (Relating to responsibility for certain expenses incurred to temporarily house a child in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services in a hotel.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the county in which the court is located, and ordered temporary emergency care in a hotel or other unlicensed setting, to pay various expenses to the Department of Family and Protective Services.
It is assumed that any related costs for the Department of Family and Protective Services could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The fiscal implications of the bill cannot be determined at this time.
