SB1361 by Huffman (Relating to the unlawful production or distribution of sexually explicit videos using deep fake technology; creating a criminal offense.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill creates a Class A misdemeanor offense for knowingly producing or distributing by electronic means a deep fake video that appears to depict the person with the person's intimate parts exposed or engaged in sexual conduct. It is assumed that any fiscal impact and any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.

Local Government Impact

It is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
