The bill would amend the Property Code relating to a property right in DNA.
According to the Office of Court Administration and the Office of the Attorney General, no significant fiscal implications are anticipated from the provisions of the bill.
According to the Comptroller's Office, the revenue implications of the bill cannot be estimated.
It is assumed than any impact on state correctional populations or the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.
Local Government Impact
It is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with the enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
