SB2250 by Zaffirini (Relating to the execution of a certificate of completion for the purchase of solar panels under a retail installment contract.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Finance Code relating to retail sellers of solar panels and prohibiting them from requiring a retail buyer to execute a certificate unless the solar panels are fully operational and pass the applicable inspection.

According to the Office of the Attorney General, any additional work resulting from the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
