Pursuant to a notice posted on February 27, 2023, and permission granted on March 1, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Appropriations - S/C on Article III met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative VanDeaver, at 8:03 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives VanDeaver; Gervin-Hawkins; Isaac; Martinez; Morrison; Ortega; Tepper; and Thimesch.

A quorum was present.

(Representative Bryant now present.)

The Subcommittee on Article III met to consider House budget recommendations for Article III, higher education.

At 9:27 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until during reading and referral of bills.

The committee reconvened at 11:59 a.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative VanDeaver.

The quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives VanDeaver; Gervin-Hawkins; Isaac; Martinez; Morrison; Ortega; Tepper; and Thimesch.

A quorum was present.

The Subcommittee on Article III met to consider House budget recommendations for Article III, higher education.

At 1:58 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
