Pursuant to a notice posted on October 17, 2023, and permission granted on October 19, 2023, and again on October 23, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Bonnen, at 10:01 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Bonnen; González, Mary; Bell, Cecil; Bryant; DeAyala; Gates; Gervin-Hawkins; Howard; Isaac; Jetton, Jacey; Martinez; Orr; Ortega; Rose; Spiller; Stucky; Tepper; Thimesch; Thompson, Ed; Toth; VanDeaver; and Walle.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 6.

The chair recognized Representative Jetton, Jacey to explain HB 6.

At 3:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until upon final adjourn./recess or bill referral if permission granted.

The committee reconvened at 4:42 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Bonnen.

The chair moved that HB 6, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
