Pursuant to a notice posted on March 31, 2023, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Darby, at 8:10 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Darby; Turner; Campos; Cunningham; Jetton; Landgraf; Morrison; and Rose.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair gave opening remarks.

 

The committee heard testimony on redistricting matters from the Texas Demographic Center.
