Pursuant to a notice posted on February 16, 2023, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Moody, at 3:35 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Moody; Cook; Bhojani; Bowers; Harrison; Leach; Morales, Christina; and Schatzline.

A quorum was present.

The chair named the following members to the subcommittee on Criminal Procedure: Representative Bhojani, Chair; Representatives Cook; and Bowers.

The chair named the following members to the subcommittee on Asset Forfeiture: Representative Harrison, Chair; Representatives Morales, Christina; and Schatzline.

The committee heard invited testimony on issues under the committee’s jurisdiction.
