Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 28, 2023, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Landgraf, at 11:05 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Landgraf; Guerra; Bell, Keith; Dean; Kuempel; and Lopez, Janie.

A quorum was present.

SB 1397

The chair laid out SB 1397, the companion to HB 1505.

Representative Bell, Keith offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative Bell, Keith moved that SB 1397, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Meza; Reynolds (2).

The chair laid out HB 1929 as pending business.

The chair moved that HB 1929, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
