Pursuant to a notice posted on May 19, 2023, and permission granted on May 1, 2023, to meet while the House is in session for the remainder of the session, the House Committee on General Investigating met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Murr, at 8:00 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Murr; Johnson, Ann; Geren; Longoria; and Spiller.

A quorum was present.

Chief Committee Counsel Erin Epley and Counsels to the Committee Terese Buess, Mark Donnelly and Donna Cameron presented the evidence in Matter A.

Without objection, the committee entered into executive session under Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code, the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives, the Housekeeping Resolution, and the committee’s rules.

The committee exited the executive session. No decisions were made or voted on during the executive session.

At 12:06 p.m., on the motion of Representative Murr and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
