Pursuant to a notice posted on February 24, 2023, and permission granted on March 1, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Dutton, at 12:07 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Dutton; Lujan; Cook; Leo-Wilson; Lopez, Janie; and Smithee.

A quorum was present.

The Committee met for an organizational hearing to hear testimony from the following agencies and organizations:

Family Law Foundation

Office of the Attorney General, Child Support Division

Texas Council on Family Violence

Texas Juvenile Justice Department

Texas Sunset Advisory Commission
