Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17, 2023, and permission granted on May 17, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Ken, at 1:00 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives King, Ken; Walle; Goldman; Harless; King, Tracy O.; and Thompson, Senfronia.

A quorum was present.

SB 643

The chair laid out SB 643 as the companion to HB 431.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

The chair moved that SB 643, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives King, Ken; Walle; Goldman; Harless; King, Tracy O.; Thompson, Senfronia (6).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Hernandez; Herrero; Patterson; Schaefer; Shaheen (5).

At 1:01 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
