Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 16, 2023, and permission granted on May 16, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Capriglione, at 2:01 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Capriglione; Lambert; Frazier; Leo-Wilson; and Vo.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1854 as pending business.

The chair moved that SB 1854, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Capriglione; Lambert; Bhojani; Frazier; Leo-Wilson; Vo (6).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Bryant; Plesa; VanDeaver (3).

At 2:02 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
