Pursuant to a notice posted on June 18, 2024, revised on July 3, 2024, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Ashby, at 9:03 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Ashby; Bailes; Collier; Flores; Garcia; Morrison; and Troxclair.

A quorum was present.

The Chair made opening remarks.

The Committee took invited testimony on the implementation of relevant legislation passed by the 88^th Legislature including:

House Bill 2719, relating to the powers of the Texas Historical Commission over historic sites in this state.

The Committee took invited testimony on Support for Coastal Shrimping and Fishing Industries.

The Committee took invited testimony on Conservation of Texas Farm and Ranch Lands.

At 12:07 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
