Pursuant to a notice posted on February 24, 2023, and permission granted on March 1, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 11:52 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Hernandez; Dean; Geren; Metcalf; Raymond; Smithee; Spiller; and Turner.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The House Committee on State Affairs met to hear invited testimony related to the Texas electric grid.
