Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Subcommittee on Higher Education was held on Monday, May 8, 2023, in the Press Room at Austin, Texas.

Senator Mayes Middleton called the meeting to order at 4:28 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Springer moved that the following bills be reported to the full Senate Committee on Education with no recommendation:

HB 1114          Kacal (Sp. Kolkhorst)

HB 2026          Darby (Sp. LaMantia)

HB 2804          Kuempel (Sp. Creighton)

HB 3287          Paul (Sp. LaMantia)

SB 2363          Creighton

There being no objection, the motion carried. 

There being no further business, at 4:29 PM Senator Middleton moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
