Pursuant to Rule 1, Texas House Rules and pursuant to Rule 11.03, Texas Senate Rules, a public hearing of the Joint Committee on Grid Reliability Legislative, Oversight was held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

Co-Chair Senator Schwertner called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Co-Chair Representative Hunter moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Co-Chair Senator Schwertner laid out the following and opened invited testimony (see attached witness list for discussion):

Grid Reliability: Review the implementation of legislation related to the regulation of the electricity market in Texas enacted by the 87th and 88th Legislatures.

Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.

Co-Chair Schwertner moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

There being no further business, at 11:11 AM Senator Schwertner moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the Co-Chairs. Without objection, it was so ordered.
