Pursuant to Rule 1, Texas House Rules and pursuant to Rule 11.03, Texas Senate Rules, a public hearing of the Joint Committee on Texas Energy Fund Advisory was held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.028, at Austin, Texas.

Co-Chair Senator Schwertner called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
Senator Huffman moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
Co-Chair Senator Schwertner laid out the following and opened invited testimony (see attached witness list for discussion:
Texas Energy Fund Programs: Review and report on the impact of Senate Bill 2627, the Powering Texas Forward Act, as passed by the 88th Legislature, which established the Texas Energy Fund (TEF) to provide grants and loans to finance the construction, maintenance, modernization, and operation of electric facilities in Texas.
Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.
Co-Chair Senator Schwertner moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business, at 11:41 AM Senator Schwertner moved that the Committee be adjourned subject to the call of the Co-Chairs. Without objection, it was so ordered.
