The committee will hear invited testimony regarding redistricting from the following entity:

The committee invites testimony from the public. Members of the public who cannot attend the hearing in-person may request to be invited to provide their testimony virtually.
A member of the public may request an invitation to provide virtual testimony by registering for an invitation in advance of the hearing at:

Registration for virtual testimony is now open and will close 24 hours prior to the start time of the hearing (8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023).
Once virtual registration has closed, members of the public will only be able to register in-person.
To provide virtual testimony, invited witnesses need access to a computer or other device with an Internet connection and audio/visual capability. If you do not have access to such a device, please visit your local library. Please note that you must remain visible and audible throughout your testimony. Information for completing the witness affirmation form and obtaining the virtual link will be sent upon registration.
To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate, invited testimony from members of the public may be limited by the chair.
The chair will inform all participants at the start of the hearing the time limit that public witnesses will have to provide testimony. Please plan your testimony accordingly.
During and/or after your testimony, committee members may ask you questions, which will not count against your time to provide testimony.
If you are testifying virtually, you will be released immediately following your testimony and may livestream the remainder of the hearing.
For those wishing to submit comments electronically, the comment period will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

El Comité escuchará el testimonio en relación con la redistribución de distritos de la siguiente entidad:

El Comité también considerará la siguiente medida:
HB 1000 Darby En relación con la composición de los distritos para la elección de los miembros de la Cámara de Representantes de Texas.
El Comité invitará al público a presentar sus testimonios. Los miembros del público que no puedan asistir a la audiencia presencial pueden solicitar una invitación para brindar su testimonio virtualmente.

Para brindar su testimonio virtualmente, los testigos invitados deben tener acceso a una computadora u otro dispositivo con conexión a Internet y capacidad de audio y video. Si usted no tiene acceso a un dispositivo de ese tipo, visite la biblioteca de su localidad. Tenga en cuenta que debe permanecer visible y audible durante todo su testimonio. La información para completar el formulario de confirmación de testigo y obtener el enlace se le enviará al inscribirse.
Para asegurarnos de que todos tengan la oportunidad de participar, el presidente podrá limitar los testimonios de los miembros del público.
Al iniciar la audiencia, el presidente informará a todos los participantes el límite de tiempo que los miembros del público tendrán para dar su testimonio. Planifique su testimonio teniendo esto en cuenta.
Durante y/o después de su testimonio, los miembros del comité podrán hacerle preguntas, las cuales no se contarán como parte del tiempo de su testimonio.
