The Committee will meet to hear testimony on the following items.

Relating to the powers and duties of the governing boards of public institutions of higher education.

SB 18          Creighton | et al.                        
Relating to tenure and employment status at public institutions of higher education in this state.

SB 25          Kolkhorst | et al.                        
Relating to support for nursing-related postsecondary education, including scholarships to nursing students, loan repayment assistance to nurses and nursing faculty, and grants to nursing education programs.

SB 37          Zaffirini                                 
Relating to the criminal offense of hazing.

SB 526         West                                      
Relating to requiring prior approval by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to offer a degree or certificate program to certain persons who are incarcerated or subject to involuntary civil commitment.

SB 646         Nichols                                   
Relating to formula funding for certain nonresident students enrolled at Lamar State College--Orange.
