Those wishing to give public testimony, please limit prepared remarks to 2 minutes. If submitting written testimony, please submit 40 copies, with your name on each copy, to the Assistant Clerk during the hearing.

 

·                Oral testimony: fill out a paper witness card and submit to the Assistant Clerk.

·                Oral and written testimony: fill out a paper witness card and hold on to your documents until your name is called to the table.

·                Position only: register using the Senate kiosk located in the extension hallways or by going to Http://swrs on public-capitol.

·                Written testimony only: register your position using the Senate kiosk then bring your 40 copies, with your name on each copy, to the Assistant Clerk, during the hearing.

Relating to longevity pay for certain prosecutors.

Relating to the creation of a task force to develop a plan for the consolidation of the functions of workforce development programs administered by the Texas Workforce Commission and social services programs administered by the Health and Human Services Commission.

Proposing a constitutional amendment renaming the national research university fund as the Texas University Fund, providing for the appropriation of certain investment income from the economic stabilization fund to the Texas University Fund, excepting appropriations to and from the Texas University Fund from the constitutional limit on the rate of growth of appropriations, and appropriating money from the general revenue fund to the Texas University Fund to be spent for purposes of providing funding to certain public institutions of higher education to achieve national prominence as major research universities and drive the state economy.

SJR 87         Huffman                
Proposing a constitutional amendment to authorize the legislature to exempt from ad valorem taxation certain tangible personal property held by a manufacturer of medical or biomedical products as a finished good or used in the manufacturing or processing of medical or biomedical products.
