The Senate Committee on Local Government will meet Wednesday, May 15th, at 1:00 P.M.to hear invited and public testimony on the following interim charge:

Secure Texas Against “Squatters”:

Review current laws relating to “squatters” or those claiming adverse possession of property. Make recommendations to streamline the process for the immediate removal of “squatters” and to strengthen the rights of property owners’.

Public Testimony is limited to two minutes. If submitting written testimony, please provide 20 copies to the committee clerk with your name and/or the name of your organization on each copy and email a digital copy to the committee at ross.leake_sc@senate.texas.gov.
