R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An elite urban search-and-rescue team from the Czech
  Republic provided valuable assistance in the response to the deadly
  Hill Country flood of July 4, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, In the aftermath of the catastrophic flooding, which
  claimed the lives of well over 100 people, the 16-member team of
  Czech firefighters arrived with four search and recovery dogs to
  support the efforts of the Texas National Guard; with about 100
  victims still missing, the Czech rescue team conducted meticulously
  coordinated secondary search and recovery operations, beginning
  near Center Point in Kerr County; the team members fulfilled their
  mission under challenging conditions along steep, hazardous
  riverbanks; and
         WHEREAS, Governor Greg Abbott and General Steven Nordhaus,
  chief of the U.S. National Guard Bureau, personally expressed their
  profound gratitude for the service of the Czech team; it operated
  under the National Guard Bureau State Partnership Program,
  established in 1991 to foster military and civilian cooperation
  between U.S. states and allied nations; the partnership between the
  Texas National Guard and the Czech Republic is one of the earliest
  in the program, spanning over three decades; recent mutual support
  endeavors include the Texas National Guard's aid to the Czech
  Republic in the wake of a severe flooding crisis in Ostrava in 2024;
  and
         WHEREAS, Through their selfless dedication, outstanding
  professionalism, and spirit of international solidarity, the
  members of the Czech search-and-rescue team rendered exceptional
  service to the Lone Star State, and their contributions have earned
  the lasting admiration and appreciation of all Texans; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor the Czech urban
  search-and-rescue team for its assistance in the response to the
  July 4, 2025, Hill Country flood and extend to its members sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
