R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The beloved residents of Arlen, Texas, are making
  their long-awaited return on August 4, 2025, when a new season of
  the Emmy-winning animated series King of the Hill debuts on Hulu;
  and
         WHEREAS, Created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, King of the
  Hill is set in a fictional Texas community based on Richardson,
  where Mr. Judge once resided; the series originally premiered on
  the Fox Television Network in 1997, and over the course of 259
  episodes, it chronicled the adventures of Hank, Peggy, and Bobby
  Hill, along with a memorable cast of friends and neighbors;
  throughout its initial run, it delighted viewers with its rich,
  observational humor about life in a blue-collar suburb; and
         WHEREAS, The initial run of King of the Hill ended in 2009
  after 13 seasons, but enthusiasm for the series has not waned, with
  past episodes remaining popular on Hulu; the reboot has been
  rumored for years, and anticipation has mounted since 2017, when
  Mr. Judge and Mr. Daniels reunited with the cast for a 20th
  anniversary table read at Sketchfest in San Francisco; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Judge and Mr. Daniels have resumed oversight as
  executive producers, and many of the original voice actors are
  reprising their roles, including Mr. Judge as Hank, Kathy Najimy as
  Peggy, and Pamela Adlon as Bobby; in the 10 new episodes, Hank and
  Peggy adjust to retirement in a changed America following Hank's
  15-year stint working in Saudi Arabia, and Bobby has embarked on a
  career as a chef; and
         WHEREAS, Longtime fans across the country are eager to catch
  up with the denizens of Arlen, and the revival of King of the Hill
  holds even greater resonance for the countless residents of the
  Lone Star State who recognize their own friends, neighbors, and
  family members among the characters of this Texas-inspired series;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commemorate the premiere of
  Season 14 of King of the Hill and extend to all those associated
  with the program sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the executive producers as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
