R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The annual Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3719 |
|
|
Charity BBQ Cook-Off is taking place in Crystal Beach on March 20 |
|
|
and 21, 2026; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by Champions Barbecue Alliance as one of |
|
|
the organization's state championship cook-offs, this |
|
|
much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas |
|
|
and beyond; these highly skilled pitmasters put their culinary |
|
|
abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in |
|
|
several different categories, including brisket, pork spareribs, |
|
|
and chicken; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The contest's grand champion will receive an |
|
|
invitation to the American Royal Barbeque Cook-Off as well as a |
|
|
chance to compete at the Jack Daniel's World Championship |
|
|
Invitational Barbecue competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3719 is a |
|
|
nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local schools, |
|
|
volunteer fire departments, and various charities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|
|
Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3719 Charity BBQ Cook-Off is sure to |
|
|
offer everyone in attendance the chance to enjoy good food and good |
|
|
times while supporting a worthy cause; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2026 |
|
|
Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3719 Charity BBQ Cook-Off and extend |
|
|
to the organizers, participants, and attendees sincere best wishes |
|
|
for a fun and successful event. |
