R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Edith Miranda of Sgt. Roberto Ituarte Elementary |
|
|
School in El Paso has been named the 2025 Elementary Teacher of the |
|
|
Year in the Socorro Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A bilingual prekindergarten to fourth-grade teacher |
|
|
at Sgt. Roberto Ituarte Elementary, Ms. Miranda has served as an |
|
|
educator for 12 years; her selection for this prestigious honor has |
|
|
been attributed to her enthusiasm and her ability to motivate her |
|
|
students to maintain a positive attitude, even when faced with |
|
|
challenges; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Edith Miranda exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Edith Miranda |
|
|
on her selection as the 2025 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the |
|
|
Socorro Independent School District and that she be extended |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success with her important work; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Miranda as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
